- All policy matters pertaining to IT and its implementation in the UT
- Creating IT infrastructure in the UT to be utilized by departments
- Undertake IT & e-Governance initiatives for betterment of public service delivery and governmental functioning
- Promotion of investment in IT/ITES , Entrepreneurship development and matters pertaining to IT Park
- Promote Digital Literacy in UT
- Assist other departments of the administration in undertaking IT and eGovernance projects
- Implementation of Digital India Programme
